Upstairs at The Talbot Inn are two cosy double rooms offering a relaxed, home from home experience. It’s like staying with friends in the country who care deeply about breakfast and just happen to run a very good bar downstairs.

Perfect for walkers, weekenders and those who don’t want the evening to end too soon.

Across the lane we also have a beautifully converted chapel which is ideal if you require more space - it is available to book here

  • Thoughtfully designed rooms with a cottage feel - king-size beds dressed in Egyptian cotton, fresh milk, brownies from the kitchen, fruit, flowers and a Roberts radio playing on arrival, along with Smart TV and a few extras for four-legged guests.

    The two rooms share a spacious bathroom - with plenty of hot water, good pressure, a large bath for a proper soak, an overhead shower, fluffy towels, fresh flowers and Scottish Fine Soaps toiletries.

  • Breakfast is available Wednesday to Sunday mornings (£15 per adult, £10 for children) - a full English with local sausages, alongside fresh fruit, granola, pastries, artisan bread & award - winning village marmalade.

  • Arrivals from 3pm each day, latest check in is 10pm and departures by 11am please. Access is available 24/7 after check in.

    Accommodation is available 7 days per week but the pub & kitchen is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays .
